Ihave been testing out open source alternatives for graphic design.
As an Adobe subscriber, and an old QuarkXPress user, I thought these were the only tools that were “supposed to be” used for graphic design.
Open Source Graphic Design
Then, I discovered Open Source and have been working and experimenting with Scribus, GIMP, Blender, etc.
I wrote my Graduate Thesis at Utica College on The Malicious and Forensic Uses of Adobe Software and have been writing about open source tools since I graduated with my Master’s in Cybersecurity and Computer Forensics since I graduated in 2015.
I submitted an article about my experience and opinion of Open Source Graphics to OpenSource.com and my article was accepted was published today (August 1, 2016).
